Motorino Pizzeria Napoletana: A FULL-ON VERDICT!

Motorino is a foreign brand brought in the philippines in 2014. As they dive into the world where pizza is NOT a common comfort food, they promise to deliver fresh, brick-oven-baked pizza that is authentic in taste and in quality.

Here are some of their best sellers:

Apple Walnut Cheese Salad - this is made with thin slices of apples, walnut, parmesan, gorgonzola, mixed greens, onion & balsamic vinaigrette. In my own opinion, this might be the best salad i had. You know why? With a number of ingredients plated in one bowl, they did not overlap each other’s taste. With a perfect combination of each of their flavors, this made the best salad i ever had. Hooray for this!

Price: P495, Good for 2-3 persons

Calamari Fritti - made with baby squid and lemon. The first thing that i noticed was the huge amount of serving. It did not have any special taste, but it was soft & perfectly cooked. So i would still order this in the future.

Price: P375, Good for 3-4 persons

Soppressata Piccante ( Spicy Sausage) - fior di latte (FYI: Fior Di Latte is semi-soft, fresh cheese made in the style of Italian mozzarella which is usually manufactured in Australia), garlic, fresh chili. The chilis were cut thinly but was way too big to ignore. When you get a bite of the chili slices, it will surely wake your taste buds. It was too spicy if you had a bite of those chili slices but this pizza itself tastes good. If you’re a fond of hot and spice, then you will definitely love this one.

Price: P495, good for 4-5 persons

Truffle honey and black cheese - topped with black truffle, honey, quattro formaggi (FYI: this is a mixture of melted butter and cream, simmered for a few mins). This was our fave!!! It’s a bit sweet but it works perfectly. I highly recommend this one!

Alfredo with Prawns - this was really good. Not the usual fast food alfredo from cheap restaurants. But this is the REAL DEAL! When you visit motorino’s, don’t forget to try out this one. It’s so worth it!

Classic Motorino Meatballs - with the perfectly-cooked pasta and perfectly seasoned tomato sauce, this is one of our faves! But honestly, we loved the alfredo more! It was just too good! But this was good, too!

Tiramisu - light, fluffy, with a balanced sweet and creamy goodness, all in one slice! Love love love.

Torta Alcioccolato w/ crema inglese - to make it short, this is a chocolate cake in a bed of condensed cream. This was the highlight of our dining experience! It was just too good! We’ll definitely come back for this! Totally worth it!
