Charlie’s Grind and Grill Review

Kapitolyo is one of the nation’s gems for hotels, bars, & restaurants. Crawling with hundreds of restaurants, one can definitely confuse itself from choosing just one. I’m living near kapitolyo but i rarely go there since i don’t have any idea where to go or what restaurant to go into. Most people consider the price, ambience, and most importantly, the worth of ever dining experience. Is it worth visiting? Is it worth the traffic and effort to travel? Is it worth the money?

Now i was invited to one of the restaurants in Kapitolyo, you can decide wether it is worth bisiting or not. Here is my review:

Food:

Charlie’s Grind and Grill mainly offers Western food choices which varies from burgers, sandwiches, pasta, french fries, nachos and the like. In this review, i’m gonna review each and every dish that i tasted. These are the ff:

1. Chick n’ Charlie - i loved the buns on this sandwich. It comes with lettuce, tomatoes and some mayonnaise. The chicken patty was covered with breading and deep fried. However, it tasted fishy. In short, “malansa” siya. I don’t know how it tasted like that but i think the chicken was undercooked. Nevertheless, if the chicken was perfectly cooked, it could’ve changed everything. 
            
   
   
2. Fish sandwich - this is identical with chick n’ charlie. The only difference is the patty. I think they use cream dory in their fish sandwich and it was good naman. The bun makes the whole sandwich transorm beautifully. 
   
3. Milkshakes - i tsated the 6 varieties of milkshakes that they offer and it was really good! I loved them all! No added exaggeration on this one. It was really good. They have this peanut butter milkshake which tasted like chocnut and it was surprisingly good! Cheers to that!
             
   
   
4. French fries - we had their House fries, Dirty fries, and Animal fries. I love fries as much as you all do. And i loved them all. But, if you’re not a fan of sour cream or yogurt, you probably don’t want to have the dirty fries since it is topped with a handful of sour-tasting sauce on top (i’m sorry i easn’t able to ask them what it was). It didn’t taste like mayo, it tsated like sour cream. It was a bit sour but it tasted good for me, they added small cuts of liver there, too. The house frries was topped with lots of cheese, bacon, and chili flakes. Oh so heavenly, that is. The animal fries is also overloaded with cheese and  mayo, this one was good, too.
        
   
   
       
   
   
   
5. Potato chips - sour cream and bbq flavors. They are a bit bitter but if they added more flavored powder on it, it would taste fine as it is. Perfectly paired with their craft and premium beers. 
       
6. Nachos - they offer the 1lb nachos here. Overloaded with toppings and sauce. This nacho is huge and was good! Perfect pulutan ito with its spicy flavor.
        
   
   
7. Onion rings - it’s the usual
      
   oinon rings but more serving and really affordable.
8. Meatball marinara - i love the idea of combining these two variety into one. The meatball marinara tasted  like i was in an italian restaurant. It was really good. Not the usual, filipino style spaghetti, this marinara is definitely on the top of my list. I loved it!
     
9. Burger steak - this was good. A thick beef burger patty and a perfectly cooked eggs sided with corn kernels ad gravy. An ideal lunch for a hardworking person like you.
       
10. 3-cheese burger - this was delish. With pure beef patties and 3 layers of cheese, a perfect pair with your french fries and nachos. Sarap!
      
11. Sloppy burger - now this is superb! This is your beef patty burger topped with perfectly cooked sunny side up. And lots of cheese! I loved this one, too! It’s like a burger steak but instead of rice, you put it in a burger buns with lettuce & tomatoes. Yum!
       
12. Root beer float - this is a perfect with any if their dishes. If you’re a fan of rootbeer, you will definitely want to try this.
    
    
    They also offer craft beers and premium beers. Their beers will match perfectly with all of theie dishes. A must try!
    
       

Ambience:

You can dine inside where there are 2 large flat screen tvs and aircondition to cool you down. Or you can just enjoy the cool breeze of nature outside. A cool, cozy, and classy ambience fits its definition.

Service: Excellent. The owner of the place himself drinks and dine there so you might dfinitely be able to see him around. The staff are nice and approachable, too. Nothing to complain.
